Troubles roll

Troubles

as tumbleweeds in the wind
they keep rolling in
Storms of life
that never cease

Each day I wonder
shall those things ever stop?
Shall life ever be as a sea of glass
Tranquil and peaceful?
Shall troubles ever flee away?

Yes they shall...
at my least breath
at the silence of my heartbeat
when I fly from this place
to look on the face of my Lord

until then....
with
heartaches and sorrows
tears in my eyes
sadness of mind

I will stand

Excellent. Oh you spoke of such great wisdom in this poem. God never said we wouldn't suffer pain and sorrow down here but we definitely do. The hope is just like you said:

    Yes they shall...
    at my least breath
at the silence of my heartbeat
when I fly from this place
to look on the face of my Lord

Loved that part of the poem. Yes Troubles Do Roll and being your friend we both understand this so very well. You should have gotten a trophy for this one. Well my opinion is I think it is just a golden write.

    Love You Bunches,
    My Dear Brother & Friend,
    Kelle Marie

You know the pains and troubles of this life never cease for in them lies all the strength we must learn to gain, yes I did say learn to gain for nothing is given lest we find value in it. Even the love of the allmighty has to be earned through practice of faith.

We are sinners and so shall we all pass, in the end there it is the only thing that matters, for from the dust we came and to the dust we shall return.

I like it, I like it so!

very relatable - seems most everyone who has logged any time on this planet understands trouble. "for man is born for trouble, as sparks fly upward. but as for me, I would seek god."
    Thanks for the write!

    Excellent

This is so true to life. Very emotional and full of hope and faith. The best is yet to come.

  • I remember as a child sitting on my grandmothers lap after having a horrible day and asking my grandmother why things had to be so terrible and she said to me:

Dear Suzi if I bought you a gift every single day for Christmas would you enjoy the 25th of December?
If I celebrated your birthday everyday and sang to you and told you how much I enjoyed the fact that you were born, would your birthday have any meaning? If I cooked a turkey and all the trimmings every single day, would you be thankful for Thanksgiving day? If I hid easter eggs everyday of the year for you, would you find pleasure in seeking them? My guess is that you would soon tire of all of these things very quickly and they would no longer hold any value. Jesus suffered too my dear, He suffered greatly so that we would one day find more joy than we could ever imagine, but first we must live with just a tad bit of the suffering that He endured so that when that day comes we will fully appreciate it's value, for if we lived a life without any troubles or trials, it would be just as if we had thanksgiving everyday, or Easter egg hunts everyday... we would never find value in it when that day comes.

When trial and troubles come my way that is what I think of. I think of the persecution that Jesus went through and how He died for us willingly and I know that one day there will be great joy and with that knowledge I hang on because we celebrate once a year for a reason and eternity comes but once a lifetime!

Beautiful poem Mark and I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

    Love and Blessings,

    Suzi
