If I Could Die of Happiness

Your hand is affectionate
As it holds mine
My eyes are most beautiful,
When they are looking at you

We see each other
Only for a moment
And then I see your heart.

An image of love
A shining star
An ever flowing river, ending upon the blissful ocean.
A blanket of joy that lifts my spirit
Condemns my soul

I’m trapped under your wing
You have me under your spell
As I fly through the mountains in the satin blue sky,
Your heart stays strong
Then you kiss me
There is nothing sweeter than the feeling of your lips

I can’t say I love you
Because it is so much more than that.

I break away from this moment
And I look away,
If I could die of happiness,
Bury me right next to your heart.

    I adore this piece. It's love personified in places and you seemed to have worked it up to a grande finale' at the end, which is my personal favorite part of the poem
