A Diseased Soul

The courage faltered, spirits downed
The mettle goes on, blood's around
Faces scratched, limbs are torned
Valor has been forlorned

The heart's been drowned
In agony's reach
The mind's been captured
By horror's screech

The guns took off with a heavy bang
Swords flew out the owner's hand
Curses flooded the two way street
Cries overpowered the chivalrous beat

Ideals clashed, principles questioned
Respects are throwned, trampling honor's foundation
Mistakes are treated with savage actions
Debts are paid with lives and destruction

Disputes soared, temper ruled
Deceit followed every man's road
Immorality widened, ethics waned
Kindness's a loss, evil is gain

Amorality won, integrity imprisoned
Man's been cursed with virtue depravation
Peace has left, begging the war's echantress
As the earth dwelt on man's one-of-a-kind ethics
