Tulip

She emerges with light,
in the room's stillness,
sensing vacancy. The sole "living",
a tulip, hangs its head, contained
and duly arranged, just so.
When the light is right,
full of spring vibrancy
in the hour and degree of slant,
in those exact moments
the sunshine fleetingly reveals her,
merged with her favoured flower;
a revived memory at once,
two translucent as one.
Her eyes and smile, her name,
its utterance alone,
who she had become
brightened and uplifted home;
as well as the unaccustomed heart
that met her, and felt chambers
swelled by her presence.
Now a vision, only
at certain times may be seen
glowing her loveliness.

    This is beautiful and the idea that she only comes out certain times is magical. Thank you for entering ♥
