Little sales, much work -
telephone calls and mileage
I should be getting paid for,
but I'm not...
I can't think of one single
eye-popping piece that
would awe my readers, my
favs, and win a gold.
Thoughts come to mind -
polishing marble; sandpaper;
painting statues and stone
mosaics...but nothing that flows.
To mow the lawn today,
a 1/4 acre was no big deal;
nor moving an 80 lb. statue
down two flights of stairs -
Even moving the cars around
to make room for the new
and vacuuming the whole house
was nothing new today.
Inspiration....charisma, drive -
I've got it all if I can find the
right subject, a focal point on
which to center my write...
The mind of a writer is an unusual
thing - it sits with it's master, and
focuses solely on what's churning
inside, paying the world around it
no mind....

i think you were lately suffering from a writers block and this poem is th product of that phase...
