What is wrong with the world today?
You have girls 5'10" who refuse to feed their bodies
Who weigh just about nothing
& Hollywood always claims the best new diet
& you're fat if you are at a healthy weight

Billions of dollars, bankruptcies, and unemployment
These numbers keep soaring!
Where does it end, is there really hope?
Will Obama pull through and really change things for the better
Meanwhile its the working class that work themselves to the bone and they cant afford a phone or oay their rent
Will this craziness ever end?
What is wrong with the world today?
Soldier's overseas been in this war for what seems
Like a century
So many lives lost, yet just a few things accomplished
Is what we're doing, is our losses really worth it?

Everything looks so bleak
So many conspiricies
I'm afraid what tomorrow brings
What does the future hold for me?
So many questions
& we aren't getting answers
Why does our government keep so many things hidden
Why are so many words left unspoken?
Im afraid we will never be, the country we used to be
The world is changing, and maybe not for the better
But I'll sit here and try to whether, I guess we'll see
What the future brings but we need to worry about today
& we need to get through this recession
We need ideas and we need change
I just hope we don't get shorted

so i havent written in a while
and i finally had some inspiration

quite frankly arent you worried about the future too?
I mean just read the news & listen closely,
I think we should all be worried and hopefully things will be changing
because if not, I dont know how much longer America will truely be "great"

I mean you absolutely made every perfect point you can possible with what is with todays economy and world ect. frankly I am embarassed to be an American and I been one all my life and well truth be told I been wanting out ever since that Iraqq fiasco and well thats still a tough pill to swallow. Now we got this Afghanistan war going on and the soldiers getting their asses kicked and this raid is going on & gawd help us North Korea aiming a missle at Hawaii to make a point that they will nuke our fuckin asses? what da fucking hell happened to peace? I mean crapola are we all that evil now a days that nobody wants peace at all but wants everyone to kill kill kill and loot loot loot people';s houses? are we going to destroy ourselves then have a foreign country invade our asses and claim it as their own? sorry for the rant but I really felt that powerful message you are getting across. anyways brilliantly penned and absolutely-fucking beautiful write from you. thank you so much for posting this poem and letting me comment. I apologize if my comment gets backfire from anyone else when they comment on your write but I am only embarassed because its sad what Bush did to us all and givin' us all a black eye and wth is Obama going to do? we shall see. anyways if anyone takes offense to my comment please send me a message and not post it here to create a war I don't want to get started.
