Cool rush beneath the blazing sun
rippling of sensations as it warms
Splashes of pleasure have begun
'neath the blue where fish swarms
flow of motion changes directions
side to side, around all the bends
in the waves the trees reflections
as the coolness slowly descends
smooth and rippling, warming nice
the temperature rises with the day
brushing the stones once or twice
or the little toes that are in to play
feeling the activities of family fun
as lines and hooks cause a stir
fishnets from the banks are spun
and the impact is causing a blur
yet when the ripples calm down
and I can once again see the sky
it's a pleasure to see joy around
as I travel the day passing you by
