Didn't you know?

Apathy towards everything leaves you emotionless,
failing to allow even the slightest passion to write or draw,
where empathy is needed to create anything with a meaning,
a purpose to be exposed and listened to by all.
Nothing done in detachment from thought can be taken seriously.
Instead it becomes the hole that drains away all your expressions,
simple smiles now coming off as looks of disinterested glares
leaving those around left confused and filling with judgment.
And whether or not you care, it still seeps in and causes affect,
tainting that milky complexion with a bitterness taste not before there,
silently streaming you away from the crowd as by their desire,
until you’re alone in your feeding indifference mind.
And still you see it as only apathy,
but apathy left long ago.
