that buries its shameful past
with hidden discrimination
covered with smiles
and overly exuberant congratulations
Congratulations to a country
that allows itself to be led
by men that makes promises
to lift this "great" country
out of a hole that keeps getting deeper
Congratulations to a country
where the children are the future
what future do we have
when our future depends on our past?
and jobs are few and far between?
Congratulations to a country
where the future is a dream of the past
land of the "free"
and home of the brave
where dreams are, just dreams

Yes, our country is messed up and the hole keeps getting deeper. I agree. Congratulations to the country. The peple who step up to the plate of president are the power hungry. And if someone steps up to it that could actually do a decent job, they get thrown out of the running before it starts. Good people are to chicken to stand up for this country to realy pull us out of the hole. We need change, but not the way Obama bin laden thinks. The govnment forgets that which is most important! They work for us, we do not work for them. Its a good poem. To bad it will be forgotten with all the others people have written, and dismissed as the country continues to destroy itself. After all... All of the Greatest Empires that have ever existed have fallen. Ours is falling.
