Chess Game

Let's imagine that our existence is a game
Choose a side, black or white, now we're ready to begin
The meager pawns make the first move
A step towards starting our mortal struggle
Out weaknesses attempting to win the war
A war that Fate can only show
Next, with a diagonal step, you move the Bishop
Religious beliefs are what you place before your own desires
I move a knight, taking one of your pawns down
A quiet assassin able to make quick attacks
Now its your turn, you move a rook
And with it destroy one of mine
Careless thoughts, an accidental loop hole
To breaking down the defenses to beat me
My queen lashes out at your rook
Keeping me from a possible check
Your worried now, worried I might win
But who's to know between us?
Though every soldier of the king's army may die
He will still have a few moves left
It is Fate for us to forever remain alone
