"How pleasant you are,"
Said the hopeful young child
To the fictional character of the north.
"And how jolly and kind, will you please be mine?"
"If only you're a good little boy."
So the child went off, new knowledge in head
Unaware of the lies that had won
And that night in his bed
He dreamed of treasures and toys
And that is how false hopes are spread.
