Soon will come the time
when shadows will fall away.
When life refuses to die,
we’ll have what we pray.
Sums of souls will be reached.
He has met His quota.
Sermons will cease to be preached.
All things will be over.
Come, O Lord, and be the Light.
Be the reason we remain.
Grant us, Lord, what is our right,
given through Your name.
Let us delight in time’s end,
for we’ll not end with it.
Let us see Him who will rend
the things that broke our spirits.
Our heart’s ache will be heard,
with a shout from on high.
We will heed the holy Word.
It’s to Him we’ll fly.

I truly enjoyed reading this lovely piece of poetry. Soft and beautifully penned. One thing I will point out is in the second stanza the third line, I think you want "cease" in place of "ceased" Other than that, great write. Thank you for entering the contest and supporting our group.

I hope it's more than a poem of spirituality. Anyone one can be spiritual, this is a spiritual world.
My desire that this would be Biblical, which this is based upon.
Thanks...
