It was in a moonlit night
When a dirty lifeless man came to life
It faced the moon with gleaming light
And stated that he was there to fight.
“I was given the chance to live again.
And I would use it to become a great man…
Great man of power, great man of revenge,
And I will kill those who stood against me from now till end.”
The moon has heard the man
With grief, with sorrow, with sadness, The moon has lost it’s light
And darkness, and terror, and horror
Has ruled the land with wrath.
And up to this very moment
Evil still persists
It is man itself that destroys his soul
And loves his own mistakes.
If wickedness prevails
All will suffer
No one can be spared
For the evil that kills… is the evil that man, himself created.

"Evil" does seem to abound but looks are deceiving. When Satan went against God in the Kingdom of Heaven... upon leaving Old Lucifer could only convince 1/3 of the angels to go with him. There are 2/3 of God’s angels left to war against carnality. We are victorious if we understand the ratio.
You poem shows the plight of man because of following evil. There is always the chance for change. We do create our own misfortune, very true! Very well written for a first entry here at AP.
Much Love & Respect ♥
