Ebony evening's calling for a speck
of white, to grey up feelings
cause by a charcoal mate.
When day brighten our weather
it turns hot white; bird's searching
for a dark seeds around
natures bland waterhole.
Pale skin neighbors bickering
over some cute grey twins
if only there was a shade
we could call unique again.
So I sit under this poke a dot tree
thinking really thinking
what color would I make me?
Waiting for black of night
when we are all grey
in God's eyesight.

Oh, no, do I have to go through the rest of my life being called "grey man"? I was just getting used to being purple...
Subtle, but yet not so subtle, this. Why is it that our skin color is the main attribute we are known by. Truly, would our lives be simpler/better if we were all grey? I think that, at least, it would be one less thing to argue about. Our hearts know the truth; if you are true of heart, then color is of no impotance to love...
Some very nicely posed questions by you, my mistress of the soul, along with your usual magical imagery. Well done.

Lovely images that lend color to a dark page. "Waiting for black of night" . . . ah, that which makes us equal sets us free. Thanks for entering

Ahh Novy, you never cease to amaze me with your talent in your ideas and thoughts. What a wonderful description you have placed before the audience and offered up for thought. Another wonderful piece that further reassures why you are among my favorites.

Indeed, your imagery here is wonderful. I was smitten with this piece. Throughout life I have always faded to grey. Good luck in the contest Novy.

The imagery of grey has always been alluring to me. This wasn't an exception.
You painted a decent picture for the audience... at least one that could become tangible.
Thanks for the read
