a thousand years of bone and ash, fall apart like a century of sand
But if you cut me open, all the beauty in this world will fade
all the wonderful colors in this world will fade to grey
and everything true and real will be gone
is that what you want?

    This reminds me of the story of Persephone & Hades a little...or mayhaps a lot.
