You love with your heart,
and not with your eyes.
The outer appearance
is always disguise.
You can be duped and cheated,
manipulated and worn,
as the threads of your heart are
moroselessly torn.
You cannot love at first sight
no matter what you believe,
you are simply falling for
the beauty of disease.
Their seeming warmth and outer charm
makes you believe you'll be safe from all harm,
but deep down inside you know it's not true
as realization settles like cold morning dew.
It freezes your heart
but not all your pain,
so you cling to all hope
-it becomes a dark chain.
It traps you in darkness,
in all your mistakes,
it leaves you in mourning
with all of your aches.
There is no such thing
as Love At First Sight,
Love is something that grows,
but not overnight.

I like it fine.. look up Sagerider on here he had to leave a year ago he was not well. He rhymed his cowboy poetry oh he was good with it so good . you will enjoy it.

i like it but i feel like as you said it isn't finished maybe because line 13-16 detract from its beauty because they are longer.
