She has those Rocky Mountains singing in her eyes,
white aspens clinging to a hill against bluest skies.
Through an ancient voice it’s here her yearning lies,
wild winds of nature call while the great eagle flies.
She recalls him singing once looking in her eyes, still,
the Colorado Rockies haunt her and they always will.
His sweet music enchanted her and a void began to fill,
one day they’ll meet again on another side of the hill.
In dreams she hears his voice echo thru a mountainside,
like the sleepy blue ocean of tears that for him she cried.
His song applauded nature and he sang with so much pride,
she lost that connection and her hero on the day he died.
Each time I hear one of his songs I think of her every time,
his music so infectious his writing sweet poetry and rhyme.
Just listening to his lyrics, seems to beg a person to mime,
never to be replaced, his sweet voice was taken in his prime.
white aspens clinging to a hill against bluest skies.
Through an ancient voice it’s here her yearning lies,
wild winds of nature call while the great eagle flies.
She recalls him singing once looking in her eyes, still,
the Colorado Rockies haunt her and they always will.
His sweet music enchanted her and a void began to fill,
