Just a Pepsi please is what I muttered to the middle aged waitress hovering above
Food has no taste when your dead inside
Then I looked up into her eyes and saw a faint fire burning behind them
This was a person with something to live for...
Something to die for..
She brought me the cold glass and I pressed it against my lips and let out a sigh, watching the condensation
Then I took a drink and and started to think how did I let my whole life pass
After an hour of thought my cup was empty and the ice had all melted
In the bottom of the cup were a few drops clinging to the side
Surely I have a few drops left in me I thought to myself
So I won this fight with life, got up, paid and left
