I remember every reverie-
as if stained like frostbite on my lips-
& how they lifted my muse to astonishing heights,
but when the snow ceased its fall,
it began to fall instead.
I thought it was all just a one-car wreck-
until butterflies died,
then I knew it was a one-worldwide catastrophe.
Everything you bore me-
melted to the sun's heat.
Fantasies are no longer seductive,
but sadistic and bloodshed-
and there's no ice to freeze over the cracks in your skin-
because this shit is not broken,
just damaged.
