Rain in Maine
water logged,
pruned right up.
Did the less rain dance
yesterday morn
didn't work
oh how I scowl
one more day
a soggy wet towel.
Chippers coat
matted and wet
slugs are ah' happy
mud slide into lettuce.
Let us all pray
for a sunshine day.
Author notes

Here in Oz we always seem to be praying for rain. This is a great light heated write on the other side of nature's ills. Yes, I agree...bring on the sunshine Damn it!
Well done...Alby

Awe that sucks! I loved your poem though.
LOL You never can tell or TO THE HECK WITH IT. 'You never can judge a book by its cover OR title'. Thats what I meant lol. And the little poems like these are the most heart wrenching and frustrating at all lol. Coming from the writer that is. ;-)
BE happy. It'll be sunny before you'll know and then your garden will dry up and you'll be begging for rain all over again lol. (my gma has a garden and I get it from her ALLL the time)

Brother your rainy day blues are coming through loud and clear.. So what have you been doing?
What kind of trouble in the woods I am anxious.
to the computer and let me know if you need to me lock and load.

Amen
Its a beautiful day today & we had sunshine yesterday here in NJ...hopefully we can keep it around for a while at least... very well said - lets pray for a sunshine day...
let the sun come through
let the skies be painted clear blue
another night sparkling with stars
another day shines crimson
this is just what little we seek
from our lips to your ears
let this prayer be heard by you...
Oh Lord let the sun shine through
See... I'm praying with you
Take care Minoo
