Secret Box

Missing image

I've got this box I want to show you

Its made of fine oak wood

With golden designs rapped around it

Your name in cursive letters at the top

I like to call it my 'Secret Box'

Cause no one knows what is inside of it

Its the greatest treasure of all

Also the fragilest one as well

I'm afraid it will get broken

Shattered to a thousand peices

If I unlock it

And show it to you

I want to keep it hidden from you

But this feeling is growing stronger

I dont know what to call it

I get butterflies when I see you

Come with me and I'll show you

I'll open this secret box of mine

Just for your eyes only

So you can see what I mean

Now unlocked and opened

I close my eyes and wait for your reaction

To the ruby heart sitting on velvety cusions

With 'I like you' carved on it

A contest entry

Please tell me what you think

Oh, a poignantly unique and so very romantical poem here! I did, indeed, enjoy this a great deal--as far as pure poetry goes, being a purist myself, I would much perfer not to see the multicolored words--but still a fine poem!

  • Very cool Athena!
