maybe im just tired
but i cannot sleep
the ghost of you still haunts me
in my dreams
in my dreams
lay me down to sleep tonight
it's been far too long now
with thoughts racing to the finish line
it never ends
im never going to make it
just tell me i can make it
maybe im just a little sad
but i cannot cry
the stream of tears no longer flow
they've dried up
im a desert land
slow me down
that's all i pray
slow me down now
my tendency, chemical dependency
doesn't work anymore
it never worked in the first place
just wreck me
lay me down to sleep tonight
