Okay, so here's the thing -
It's Not the 80's anymore.
2009, where did the time
go? Don't Drink.
Don't Smoke.
Don't write. Anymore.
(in case you didn't know)
I'm like a poster-child for politically correct.
absolutely Perfect, I suspect -
Except, Imperfection
did have its benefits,
Cheap thrills their place.
a Drink. a Smoke.
a Naughty ditty or three
could completely cure
the completely P.C. in me,
no doubt.
But, you know, it is 2009.
If it was the 80's,
Adam Ant would be tonguing me
and not the words to a song
and he sure as hell
wouldn't be wondering,
"What do you do?"

I was just a lil kiddie winkle in the 80's

Bout bloody time you posted.,, WTF has life done to you, for you to behave in such a way. I mean whats the fun in being good all the time? I'll have a drink and a smoke for ya lol

Sure had a blast in the 80's holding onto the rock of the 70's and searching for the bottom of the bottle.
"But, you know, it is 2009."
A treat to read (and remember).

I'd trade my ho hum life for some cheap thrills anyday. Hahaha. You keep saying this sucks but each time I read it I find something else to like about it so shut up.
-
Yeah I really like this one.
-
time only changes us so much, really
for some of us it will be our name and location
maybe the songs get better and have more soul
the diddling gets more ... hehe - well, anyway
it is only time that changes
i don't think we ever really do
it is really good to see you back. -
Yayyy she writes
Ahhh Stuart GODdard. He's tongued me in a thousand dreams, ya know. He used to make me pee my pants I loved him so much. Course that was way back when he was in his 20's. He's in his mid 50's now and probably not as do-able but still.
If I couldn't drink, smoke and diddle I might as well be dead. Course I quit drinking but that doesn't mean I'm never gonna drink again. I just quit for now. (see how i make a poem all about me?)
You sorta lure us into thinking this might be a different UB1 in the beginning. Haha Great ending for anyone who thought this was a "poor me" poem. Those who know you know that UB never ends any poem without a little diddling.
Love it. So glad you're posting. More Please.
