Dear God on high...
I am again on the brink of an inevitable end,
At the mercy of your omnipotent being.
But are you listening to me now God?
Or have you forsaken me to darkness again as you did when I fell to this damnation?
Do you deny me now as the darkness covers me in its cold loving embrace?
Would you leave me to suffer the merciful cold of my death,
Here upon the edge of oblivion where I have stood awaiting your forgiveness?
Are you so vengeful a creature?
So void of the mercy you so preach?
And I will ponder these blasphemies as the shadows grow upon these walls,
Reforming the bars of the eternal prison that you gave to me.
Have I fallen so far from your graces God?
Or are you there at all?
Dear God on high... Grant me thy mercy.
Or will you test the limits of my faith with silence?
Author notes
Eh... Prompted.
I suppose it explains part of how I felt when the church decided I was not worthy of them.

Some hard questions here...
but you already know these answers. God is never silent if we know his promises, his promises echo through eternity. They cannot be silenced or abrogated.
You know this poet. But there is a shock effect within your write that makes it powerful and highly emotional. A good write.

New.

Oddly this is, by more techinical standards, some of your best work. While it lacks Some of the things that often make your work more personal, it's also well put together and quite eloquent.
