(For Michael)
I gave you everything
I had to give
It was the only way
That I could live
I gave you everything
I had no choice
It was the only way
You’d know my voice
I gave you everything
I had to lose
I kept back nothing
Except these blues…
The secret silent part
That lived in me
The lonely beating heart
You could not see
Now all I ever owned
Belongs to you
It is the only way
I can be true
My gift was for the world
And never mine
All that I tried to do
Was help it shine
So do not weep my friends
Be of good cheer
For deep inside your hearts
I am still here
If there be magic
And eternal youth
Then to live and never die…
Is the only Truth

I'm so glad you liked, ya he was a special person I was never the biggest fan but he had something no one else had and he shared it that's the important thing; bringing joy into other's lives!

I dreamed of M.J about a year ago. He came to me in a dream and said he was leaving. He was smiling too. I wasn't sure where he was going, and I told him to go on- now it is plain to me that he was going into the realm of energy where God lives. I never told anybody the dream for too many times people have laughed at my dreams and visions saying I am mad.
I leave 3 roses in memory of a person who had too much love in his heart to live in a world that has too much hate. I understand his addiction in a world that expects too much of one person. He had to do drugs to keep up with the brutal demands of his fans. One day an icon, next day a preditor, so they accused. Now in death they sing his praises again. M.J. had much love in his heart, he was too child like to understand this: that If you love too much the world will kill you one way or another.
People are so stupid.

Yes my friend...fortunately there are still many people around who echo your sentiments, I hope they will grow in number as the ages roll away revealing the stupidity of our misunderstandings and misconceptions
I love this quote: 'Do not go where the path may lead, but go where there is no path and leave a trail....Ralph Waldo Emerson

Tis a shame . But I feel the real agony of this is the lack of reality. Great talent. Used and abused and in the end drug into death. Shall we ever learn?

Better to burn out, than fade away...no, I don't think we shall Bob
Thanks

A very lovely poem.
A thoughtful tribute to his memory.
Yes I wonder of him as a person....Media is negative & cruel, so who really knows the truth of the person within.
He certainly gave his all, a very creative and talented artist of music and dance.
Whether people liked him or not...it's hard not to be impressed by his amazing performances.

Yes...
I think he's got a lot more fans now than he had before...
my son Simon(still o'seas) was a huge fan so I got my daily dose of MJ from him lol
I was listening to a guy on the radio last night, he was reading a letter that MJ had written in response to some critical comments about him, I must say it made me think twice, and I feel i've learned s'thing really important and valuable about the guy...it was extremely moving
well, thanks for stopping by I always appreciate it!

...yes, the world has lost another hero
yet in his giving we have gained much...

Lovely tribute to Michael Jackson! I love the last stanza...it's perfect!

It's funny...
...I was never the greatest fan...but his talent was undeniable, I was always enthralled by his live performances...he was magic, it was a gift, and in his passing I, like so many others have come to realise that there was so much more...than we knew or indeed ever saw...
We are all 'candles in the wind'
