As the day breaks dawn,
And the light reveals a sting,
We wake to find the world mourn,
The death of a king.
Loved by so many in his rise,
Hated by the few who close their eyes.
To the wonders and joy this great man brings,
The legacy left behind fit of a king.
A musical prodigy, so skilful in his art,
With a spellbinding charm, to win our hearts.
A man who dazzled the world with his moves,
NOT a criminal, but just as smooth.
Who leaves behind a baton, to heavy to lift,
For no other, shall ever, posses such gift.
The king who musically integrated black and white,
The king who sought darkness to shed his light,
The king who leaves behind an immortal throne,
Who passes as one, but NEVER alone,
A king murdered by the media, In their quest for greed,
Assisted by those ignorant enough to believe.
Yet despite the twisted lies they feed,
Their motive in such shall never succeed,
For with generations yet to come,
This king shall remain our number one,
Never will you bring this man to shame,
Nor can you ever erase his name,
And so 50 years on, The King still adored by all,
Yet too sudden, too soon came his curtain call.
Leaving the world in lack of belief,
Millions of hearts in inconsolable grief.
Words somehow seem far to inadequate,
To fully describe the loss we feel,
To fully explain the emotions endured,
The loss of this king seems far too surreal.
Yet though it pains us to say goodbye,
It’s a word we must bring ourselves to say,
For now our king lays fast asleep,
And no harm shall ever come his way,
Rest in prefect piece dear king,
For you are not gone,
Your legacy, your memory,
Shall forever live on.
And as you look down on us,
From above on your newly throne,
Know sweet king, hear us sing,
“You are not alone.”

FANTASTIC
I love love love love love love love [x infinity] MJ. His music has gotten me through the roughest times in my life, i am so sick of those 5% you spoke of and I would like to offer you my extreme gratitude for writing this poem in his memory. It's so touching it almost made me cry. RIP Michael. 1958-2009.

This was an astounding poem
We lost such a wonderful man ,and now all those who mocekd joked, or judged him pretend to mourn. I love micheal Jackson and My grandparents use to always play him. this was a great poem

thanks a lot!, yeah im only 16 but i kinda grew up on micheal jackson, i listen to mainly rock but MJ is just an artist EVERYONE, can come to love, any music lover will love MJ, my mum LOVES him, and he's the one happy memory that i can share with my mum. a huge loss! to the world of music. thanks for your comment! :-) xxx
