On the 25th of June
Michael Jackson was gone too soon
This genius lived a life of fame
Forever we will hare his name
In our hearts he shall remain
He is a phenomenal artist
"King of Pop" is number one
Electricfying, magicial Micheal is'nt really gone
His legend and legacy will live on
Star of "Billy Jean" and "Thriller" songs
For generations shall prolong
In our hearts he belongs
Love for Micheal has grown extremely strong
A star serenade with style
Llighting up an infectious smile
Given affection worthwhile
He was gifted on his birth
Moonwalked on this earth
He's one in a million worth
Incredibly awesome Michael
Has superior dancing technique
A singer who is unique
Was always humble and meek
This icon, fans loved him
He held them close within
He was ecstatic on stage
Unbelivably he died at a young age
A Prince of majestic wonder
Lived in heights of grandeur
Moved his feet in angelic thunder
A noble soul chants a song
With love his innermost being long.....

But when he said goodbye it was a mystery
We don't know
Why this great star had to go
Just when he prepared for his show

He was a great song writer and performer. I hope that is what he is remembered for, and not all the controversy in his life. While I am not a huge fan of his, he had some great songs and I do like to listen to them every so often. His talent will be missed. It is hard to keep in mind that he was not just a performer, Janet said it well at the awards ceremony this past weekend. - 'To the world he was an icon, to them - he was family.' They lost a brother, son, father - and many people lost someone that was a friend.

Nice write, it was only a matter of time before someone wrote a poem deticated to the "king of pop"- However, I have had to listen to his songs all weekend from my friends!!Yikes.

I have a feeling though that poor Michael was dead inside a long time before his heart stopped. You can't hate yourself that much and keep going for very long.
