of summer nights like:
rum cakes on cool lakes,
a golden crisp, a sharp sugar burst
and sky blue -
these are the moments
I love to share
with you
moments like this:
with a wisp of wind song
that lighten up the sun
and say hello
to freckled cheeks
and if it speaks
its breath, this evening, reeks of
dandelions and dew,
soft words from humming birds
and you

There's something about the smell of rain on concrete in the summer morning, the taste of coffee in the afternoons, rum cakes and birds in the evening and butterfly kisses on sun-kissed face by charming smiles and glowing eyes.
