To MJ

searching for your child
lost in flash-light
and  too quick of night
of body known abuse

still you strut
astride the "but"
knowing the power of dance
expressing your "madness"
with exquisite harness

with soft trembling voice
you touch my heart
not by choice
but by chart

thank you for helping me
to extend a sound
that once compounds
and now,
can be

thank you MJ

    Hi Isabella,

I love the pesrsonal gentleness of your acknowledgement of the impact Michael Jackson had on you and still has. He was a great artist and only since his passing have I listened again to his music to find he helped me to get in touch with lovely memories in my own life!

    I particularly loved the lines:

    "you touch my heart
    not by choice
    but by chart"

I like the way you wrote in the present tense to recognise that he is still haveing an impact!

    Warm wishes,
    Liveddog.

I was listening to my favourite Michael jackson song "she's out of my life" and the beautiful tenderness of his voice. "Off the wall"
was one of the first albums i bought.

I agree he was a great artist. I remember seeing him in pairc ui choimh in 1988 and trying to dance.. copying a "friend" at that time

i hope he rests in peace.

      best wishes,
      Isabella

        Hi Isabella,

        Thank you for your reply.

I had forgotten that MJ had performed in Cork and you reminded of what a friend of mine, Bridget, had said about her experience of being at the concert: "It was spiritual!" At the time I was surprised at the power of her description of his performance. I don't know if it was like that for you.

It is a wonderful tribute to him that we as strangers to MJ acknowledge his impact and presence in our respective lives!

        Warm wishes,
        Liveddog.
