Focusing on the bloom
at lifes center, we avoid
the whirling vertigo
that can consume.
Outer petals of fleeting goals
and mindless dialogue,
only serve to distract and bog
us down in futility.
When equilibrium is achieved,
busy backgrounds melt away.
Balance holds us in her sway,
with tender grip,
and lest we slip,
she lays a mossy carpet;
a veritable safety net.
Author notes
I have inner ear problems & this picture literally gave me vertigo. I just took it from there.
