We became free
We became our own
Sat foot upon this land
and called it home

The sacred year

I like that it is concise, and delivers its message immediately, in a way that reminds people of what is important foremost ... the freedom of the people(s) of (and) their land.

  • Short and to the point.I loved it.This poem should remind us of what our forfathers did for us to give us this freedom.Thank you for sharing.

    A positive take ...

    on this prompt.

  • Very simple take on the prompt. Your emotions were good in this and I liked the rhyme. Great job and good luck in the contest.
