losing you, one pore at a time.

                                              ---

and i can still feel the words crawling out of your mouth,
and finding new meanings under my fragile encasing.
resounding with absolute silence, scarring me a little
deeper with each synonym and syllable.

i still remember your face, richoceting agaisnt
my heart, carving itself into my spine.
you're fading out my nails and leaving regrets
in my palms;

you're the wonder exploding through my eyes, and escaping
my mouth, so all that's left to do is seal you there with
one last sin and no more regrets.

that's what you get for loving the boy who can't be fixed;
a palm full of paper cuts and a broken cardiac vessel filled will
memoirs of i-dont-love-you's.
