Don't remember your name
Just the sign of the cross in oil
On your forehead when I asked Jesus

Saying I never abandoned you
You said father was in prison
And in prison there is no one to open
The mind and help him love a little girl

The way you sobbed
Wept bitterly
Then smiled
Serene
