Enough of the darkness and the pain,
so much more to see, perspective to gain.
What my eyes fail to see or even mend,
there is a vast array of beauty to no end.
Blinking to get a clear focus of what is all around,
not just black and white, color becomes profound.
I begin to see the inner self that a heart beats,
a rose into view reminds me of the mercy seat.
The beast inside will be released to all oblivion,
when I enter the garden to sit under the pavilion.
A gentle calm will come over me to allow to be tamed,
even I need to get shackled for a time and mamed.
Then when I give in to my fight of unnatural self control,
everything beautiful can now calm my unnerving soul.
Fragrance fills the air as this rose blooms right before me,
nothing else to penetrate my sight but knowing I am free.
Open your ears to hear, as the eyes stay open to focus,
behold all that is beautiful, stop being stubborn and bogus.
music is said to tame the savage beast that roams the land,
hear the mighty winds, all nature sings, all is in His hands.

Excellent message and thoughts produced here.
What each one of us truely sees is definately a spectrum of differant colors
but all is beautiful in some way. I like the spiritual aspect of this piece as well.
thank you so much for entering my contest and for your patience.

beautiful
You create such a wonderful place for us to replinish ourselves. God has created so much beauty for us. The sounds and sights are all there, just as you write in your poem.
We just have to learn how to listen and see.
Excellent poem!
Good luck in this contest!
