Childhood ~ Just Disappeared

It seems like only yesterday I was in dance class making up moves  with my friends to Michael Jacksons Thriller.  Not just Thriller, though but the whole album.

And it seems as though just a day or two before that I was sitting in front of the tv watching Charlies Angels and trying to decide which one was the prettiest Angel.

I loved Michael and Farrah.

with his, “they’re grown up”!!!

those born between 1961 and 1981

I just don’t know what to say
my heart seems to beat slower today
they say that deaths come in three
but this time it was four

An icon that made us all want to learn Kung Fu
A man I remember as the host of Star Search and sidekick to Johnny Carson
A beautiful  blonde sex symbol
and the most amazing dancer and musician I have ever seen

I remember Farrah and Michael
and all the hype they got
I remember sitting and watching them
sitcoms and MTV

It’s sad to see them go
just like it was when Bob Hope died
but these two are different
hits closer to home

They are Generation X, “Our Time”
makes us look around
take a closer look at things
times have changed, we are older ~Adults~
