Dear Juana,
Last summer I remember
we threw away our melancholy sighs
within the stream running next to my home
The large Oak tree towered above our heads,
the leaves shading us from the sun,
casted shadows around us.
I remember being lost in your eyes
until the wind gently blew
your soft silken hair covered your eyes
you turned your head away from me
and sighed.
The summer lasted but as a tiny grain
falling within the hour glass, a second
and before I realized it, you had left
as did the colours of the Oak
The leaves silently fell to their death
where they laid upon the ground
except one which fell into the stream
That was my heart. . .
As it sank and washed away into the unknown
Sincerely yours,
Aaron
