Nature makes me feel young again,
just watching the day to day changes..
A snail trailing rainbow slime,
a pollen-laden bee droning by..
Ducks dipping up and down
on the swift flowing river,
time only to bob and nod a hello,
then whipping around the bend..
Watching the summer snowfall
of Cottonwood seeds drift down,
delighting as each new flower
opens petals wide to greet the sun..
Scents of new mown lawns,
jasmine and roses climbing up vines,
faint sounds of children's play,
dogs barking, hot summer days..
Days, I too, spent in careless fun,
unaware of time's constant turn,
but still Nature returns a part of it,
letting memory take us back to youth..

Very nicely penned, but I am awestruck at this background!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL! It's like a sunset. Awesome work, hon.
By the way, can I have a link to the background you made using my black and white sparkly one? I wanna see what you came up with!

Wow hun, this was so gorgeously crafted.
I LOVE the visuals you have conveyed
and the scenery you have given
the mind to absorb. I love your
use of language in this as well
--brilliantly formed.
Also, the background is beautiful,
fitting perfectly for your piece.
Best wishes in the contest
