I Could

The sun is shining! It's a beautiful day,
I have some time to kill, or maybe just play.
I could take a walk, or sit by the creek,
and listen to the birds as they tweet! tweet! Tweet!
I could work in my garden that's that's fragrant and fair,
enjoying the beauty around me, everywhere.
I could sit on the front porch and take in the scene,
Lush and inviting, and so very green.
I could walk into town for an ice cream cone,
or go to the pond and skip across it a stone.
I could have a tea party with my very best friend,
and wake up tomorrow and do it again!

    well it's raining here,
    and not much to do,
    so i decided to read,
    a poem or two.

    i came across yours,
    and it made me smile,
    it was the only one,
    that seemed worthwhile.

    i grabbed a cigarette,
    and reached for my drink,
    as i read your work,
    it made me think.

i thought of all the things,
    i could be doing,
but the thing i wish most,
    is just simply screwing!!

nice work sis, love you lots!

    Very enjoyable poem.

It has a very happy tone to it, but it's never forced. Cheered me up

    Thanks for sharing!

  • I like this poem. it makes me feel happy even though i am slightly pissed at the moment. thank you for the pick me up
I like the play that you make in the second line as well. kill or play two very different things you could do with your time...

i kno i spend countless days thinkin about wat i could do. unfortunately those things dnt happen. but i like this poem its very peaceful from my point of view

  • That made me smile. Thanks for that.

The poem had aa good rhyming plot and a good beat. From the looks of it, that took alot of thought and time. Good job

  • So true so true

Why weaste even a second of a day for if we would do things that brought us joy then the day would last forever indeed. Wonderful write here

  • Your imagery her, sister, is wonderful. You placed me in within the scenes you created with your imagination. A good, honest piece of writing that I am sure everyone would enjoy reading.
