Rhythm




To invoke your presence,
I need only close my eyes
I feel you, strong
as each heartbeat,
See you constant
as a lighthouse beacon.

With the power of the ocean waves
your soul crashes into my shore
absorbed by the sands of
impossible love and returning to you,
with a part of me

our rhythm continues
day and night
for thousands of years
soul, love
water, sand
Together
and yet separated
save for the grains
you carry away
as you wash over me with your caresses
and I gladly yield to your desire
