I’m sure you’d love to hear me sing it to you, but
I won’t, simply because I’m a freak who has grown a
bit tired of hearing it over and over, as the years passed
and the number of candles grew to undesirable figures.
You know as well as I do that this is how it usually goes:
People come over to wish you happy birthday,
people urge you to make a wish before you blow,
everyone enjoys a piece of waxed cake,
and you usually clean up the mess when people leave.
What sort of “happy birthday” is that?
“Another year older, and a whole lot wiser,”
that’s what my father said to me when I turned twenty.
I’ve grown wiser with every passing year, but
have remained twenty for a good number of years.
My beautiful AP wife, that’s my wish for your birthday.
Do as I do and stay forever young: have a orgy.
