Being What You Can't Be

Picked up the latest periodical
Down at the corner store today
Everything isn't that typical
When you find out what they say
But I found something amazing
Something worth the time of saving
i realize sometimes we can forget
That we are all were once innocent
But now it seems easier to ignore
What you never thought you saw before
So I'll make my way down the highway
To try to hunt for a better day
but you can't quite change today or yesterday
So lets just keep reading the headlines
And keep tomorrow in my mind
The ice is thin but where is the cold
Its time that I make my way on home
But whats the point of being all alone
When you already have love
And I just can't get enough
Put the paper back down
And just drive my way around
To a job I barely ever care about
But I can't go without
So lets take a holiday
Make my way down the highway
To try to hunt for a better day
You can't quite fix today
You can't quite fix yesterday
So let tomorrow be on its way
