What does it mean to live Your life?
What does it mean with You inside?
What does it mean to live the Sacrifice?
When I read Your words of red,
it’s right there that I must pray.
Something in me falls as dead.
It’s my desire that Your truth stays.
I clutch Your wisdom ‘til my fingers bleed
A wound that will not heal, but my heart it feels.
It’s my hope the truth will set me free.
I hope tomorrow that I will see.
Grace for my iniquity.
I pray ‘gainst profanity.
All my days are flying by.
I feel the hunger so I must cry.
I hear the songs of joy at heaven’s gate
Is Liberation here, all I hope and all I fear?
For the defiant ones, it'll be too late.
But I must help my brother stand up straight.
That’s what it means to abide.
That’s what it means to live Your life.
That’s what it means with You inside.
That’s what it means to live the Sacrifice.
Please tell me what you think

Wow. What a fantastic piece. Truly shows that Faith is not something easily swallowed. In fact, it's not really something easy at all. It often takes alot of sacrifice. But in the end....it's always worth it. :-)

Amen
Gods truth shall live forever ,Gods word abides in us,
Jesus says ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Abiding in Christ is to walk in His spirit He that has not the spirit has not Christ to abide is to abide in His love and joy. He also abides in us.
Jesus also abides faithful in himself and also in us.To live the sacrafice is to live for christ to lay down your life for your friends as he has for us. Thanks for sharing your faith and wisdom. Praise God my friend!
God bless

I feel like I was led to this poem today. I am going through struggles at work--being surrounded by non Christian behavior and fighting to endure and sustain in the mindset of Christ. You have captured this so clearly here--at least that is how it speaks to me. The questions you start out with are the very ones I am grappling with. the message was much needed.
An inspiring work. You move on in graceful stanzas. Is this lyrics? That is how it played in my reading.

Amazing. Simply put. and I dig the sword theme. The profanity issue? I know exactly what that feels like. Everyone at my work swears. and I'm too afraid to speak up and say something. I know I should, but I just don't. Anyways, thats another battle for another day. Awesome Poem. I think i'll print it out if you don't mind.

You Honor Me...
...in printing it out for yourself. Share it others as well, please, and honor the Lord who gave it to me.
As we know, profane is more than foul language. Profane is the opposite of holy or sanctified. Profane is also equal to common, that which is beneath the majesty of the Lord. Children of the King should separate themselves from profane or common things.
God bless, and thanks...

This Reminds Me...
...of a pamphlet I used to read on a yearly basis called "Tyranny of the Urgent".
In it the writer, Charles Hummel, referred to a statement Jesus said in prayer in John 17:
"I have finished the work which You have given Me to do."
He comments on how no human could make such a comment near death. Most of the time people sorrow over how they didn't finish all they intended to do at the brink of death.
Hummel brought up in interesting premise: that Jesus was able to accomplish all the Father intended for Him to do because He did not confuse the urgent with what was necessary, something the writer believed humans often did. They are side-tracked by the "urgent", losing sight of the "necessary".
I feel this is what this is about.
Thanks, sis!
