Nature poses for a self-portrait,
exercising Her artistic skills.
Vivid pigments and soft pastels
are strikingly bold and piercing.
Chinooks melt virgin winter snows,
like a tepid topical breeze.
Meandering rives weave lazy loops
on flat stretches of open prairie.
Like the fabled garden of Eden,
fields of flowers are strewn all about.
An ocean of color surges
from the ground, greeting a spring sky.
A sleepy Sol inflames the soul,
fueled by imagination.
His gilded throne dapples white clouds
with golden patches of sunlight.
Scenic watercolor horizons
complete the exquisite framing.
A time filled with youthful dreams,
tranquility and magic moments.
