Downy doe eyed and new,
gently sweet and powdery,
elfish squeak of joyous speak,
lion roars of needful cries,
tiny hands and open face
urge her to always rise.
But in the early darkened morn
when they lie reposed in form,
her eyes sagging and body bleak,
he sleeps in quiet angelic peace.
Exhausted, she has appointments to keep,
she loves him deeply, but wishes at night he'd sleep.

those tender toes and cooey moans of a babe half asleep and a Mom or Gram trying to get her rest through it all. How I do still remember 23 long years ago. I wish I were there.
good flow
