I fly above bloodstained fields,
I look down upon the dead and dying,
and my heart yearns to help
those who cry out to me.
Where has the purity gone?
What happened to innocence,
To love and happiness
Where has the purity gone?
I soar between the clouds,
Strong breezes coast me along
Gust ruffle along my feathers,
The sun shines down harshly.
Then the clouds shift,
The sky dims and darkens.
I am tossed back and forth
By the harsh winds of fate.
Where has the purity gone?
What happened to sunlight,
To blue, clear, eggshell skies
Where has the purity gone?
There's a crack and the world grows cold.
The skies open up with icy rain,
The clouds cry
Shedding tear upon the fields.
Feathers flutter,
Flying all around me
As I fall,
As I fall.
Where has the purity gone?
Where is hope,
Reason and tranquility
Where has the purity gone?
The tears fall, glisten on my cheeks,
As I descend
The cloth of my gown swirling,
Trying to keep my hold of the air.
And I land.
Break.
And finally find.
Peace
Where has the purity gone?
Where is health,
Life and welcoming arms
What happened to the purity?
Any helpful tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
