stardust.

to us the fragile sky so softly calls
reminding us of love's infinity
for us, ignited, every comet falls
a dim reflection of divinity.

the ropes of night I hoped to sever
hold fast. yet, in some wanton way,
our hearts are swathed in earthshine ever.

Author notes

Okay, so the first part is iambic pentameter but the second part is iambic tetrameter... ah well. hope you like it anyway.

aw thanks... I try out different styles so I can find my own style... I don't really learn them, it's more like experimenting.

you say this is a work in progress, yes? Well I quite enjoy it as is. I would even suggest leaving it. but that is always up to you, the author. Good job though, and if you should expand I will find it and read the rest. good luck in the contest.
