shall I stir
the metaphorical goo
and wax poetic...?
when I arrive,
will it be 'flight', 'fantasy',
'fling', or 'forever'...?
no one in their right mind
can wax poetic 100% of the time...
or is it that great poets
are completely out of their minds?
I haven't
even told her yet...
I think some alliterative/consonance/assonance beautification
is in order just about now...
Bonus Fragment:
God, she can make me miss her;
why is it, that,
what we need most from one another
hurts so much...?

Each fragment separate but they flow in continuity.
Enjoyed reading this immensely.
Good luck in the contest.

"I think some alliterative/consonance/assonance beautification

-I loved this stanza, it felt so much like how I get at the end of a deeply personal poem, at some point you want the reflection to be a little less haggard no? great entry - good luck

yes, and then people say, "I liked the raw version better...!" (maybe they can see the real "us" then...) also... (yes, another deep thought) I discovered that a poem does not have to be great to be enjoyed... (amazing, I know!)

A bonus fragment! I want one!

Isn't it great to get insight into someone's thoughts for a moment, and funny how sometimes we recognise our own, maybe a worry or a hurt, even if it is a "good" hurt, in what we read. You did an excellent job capturing yours.

My dear, no one can wax it 100% of the time- but you did a good job picking out the 1% of beautiful thoughts <3
And it hurts- because if things don't hurt every now and then Content becomes boredom, beauty- mundane.

yes, you're right (but I'm still groaning...!)
