That Lovable Jerkface

If a heart that loves is always young,
then you are the oldest person I know.

You love with your silly green eyes,
to you love is just a matter of
"who's hot" and "who's definitely not"

You love with your huge, slimy, jerk-tongue
you have told me one too many times
that making out is the best past-time

Oh and I almost forgot to mention
how, to you and other ignorant people,
love is only possible between
a man and a woman.

I have had enough of your "that's so gay"s
and your "you've never kissed a guy before?
what are you, a lesbian?"s

You say you are "Two hundred and fifty
percent straight", but I do not even
believe that you have a sexual orientation
at all, for you do not even believe in real love!

Just to let you know, a relationship
is NOT supposed to be male dominant,
and you do things together besides
slurping all over your "bitch"'s face
like an undomesticated beast.

And yes, you actually talk about things
besides "I love you so much" or "wanna do it?"

You are so ridiculous!
But I've tried to tell you, over and over again
You just shake your head, laugh,
and remark about how I'm the sorriest excuse
for a woman

Well the way you think makes you the sorriest
excuse of a loving man!
You disgust me.
Yet......

I finally understand why this quote makes sense.
I am so young and naive that somehow no matter
how much you act like an asshole,
I still love you to bits.

    That is one of the simplest writes, diction wise anyway, however I thought that was quite brilliant.
    I was sat here nodding my head in agreement (but that's probably because I'm a woman that's had plenty of experience in this poems subject).
    I loved how it was straightforward, no blankets of metaphors, no hidden messages, just pure and simple truth.
