From Break To Dust

I’m no one at all, I’m from nowhere at all; call me anonymous
I’m not alone; I have a few with me who share the cuts
We share the same scars that bleed an ache
We share the pain of payment, and we embrace it every waking moment of our lives
We cannot erase the past, but all we want to do is erase the future
We are hated, we aren’t love – we are resented, but it’s a habit now

We scream for the attention, but we hope for no one to hear us
We bleed so that we can smile and have something in common
We are looked at as the fallout of humanity
Hell, we’re humanity at it’s finest

I am mocked, I am hated, and I am ridiculed
The razor against my skin fits my arm like a jigsaw puzzle
Do you not see the lines of symmetry the blade makes with my arm?
We’re one, and we accept each other
No one accepts us ‘cause we share the same blood of truth and vanity

Playing pictures in my head, and letting them play on their own
All it does is break me down and set me to tears
I can’t be the one who sees the hope in reality
I can’t be the one who sees the hope in your hatred for me
The only thing I can see is the spit on your lips
Makin’ them moist so you can slander me further

I’m a falling star, and your happiness for when I crash
Wouldn’t be for me… dying
I will break my melted wings, and I will die with no friends
I will die with a grin on my face
I’m the fallen star that wasn’t wished upon
You’re the person who missed the wish

I lived my life being so confused and strong-hearted
You put that in your grasp to continue to destroy me
Do you feel further satisfaction?
I don’t; all I feel is more hatred for me
Not my fault you can’t be like me –
Willing to face the world, and face the pain
