Whilst knowing that you're not to blame
You flutter in the dark
A moth that flies too near the flame
Malicious tongue to spark.
Your fragile wings pulsate with fright
A victim locked in hell
Deceitful web with strands of spite
Will hold you in it's spell.
So fly outside the boundary
and do not be afraid
For you can once again be free
To human view displayed.
For you have lived but for a day
and you will die too soon
So wrap yourself without delay
Into a safe cocoon.
As healing fingers hold you tight
and crack your outer shell
You fly once more into the night
and know that all is well.

Wonderful...
Wisdom abounds through the lines of "Re-Born". Everything in this poem is a creation of knowledge and art mingled with sublimity.
In respect and admiration

Am I too late to add my comment??

Great play of words... and really like the rhyme scheme. I like the fact that the poem is not trying hard to fit the rhyming words in. Instead, the rhyme and the idea fall in place together like a completed jigsaw. Kudos!! -
A beautiful poem and take on the prompt, although for me this had a couple of meanings pertaining to my own life. I enjoyed this read very much.
All the best in the contest.
